How To Repair A Subwoofer That Just Stopped Working

In one case over again my subwoofer has stopped working after Windows 10 updated. Any idea how to fix it?

This seems to happen one time a year. Windows performs an update and the subwoofer stops working. It works when I am in the surround sound settings and run a examination, but it does not work outside of that. I have tried a agglomeration of things I found online and have even uninstalled the device driver and reinstalled information technology. I also removed the Windows updates and subsequently tried to restore to a checkpoint, simply when I removed the updates it created new checkpoint and I tin't get back to before the updates now.

Ideas?

Motherboard is a ASROCK FM2A88X Extreme6+ I am using 3.5 mm to RCA cables to connect the motherboard to a Yamaha RX-V1700 receiver. Subwoofer out is connected to a Paradigm Servo fifteen v2.

When you are in the Windows sound setup you can select things like 5.i, Stereo, etc. I set up it to v.1 and when y'all press the test button information technology plays a twinkle sound through each speaker and the sub goes blast. So information technology appears that the estimator is sending a sub signal in that case. If I am outside of the setup programme and playing Spotify, Netflix, or any other application. All the speakers work except for the subwoofer.

What practise you supplant it with? I never really take any problems with it other than this issue. I take no thought what I exercise to set up it. Information technology merely starts working again after farting around with the sound settings for hours.

Download shutupwindows10, plough off windows updates, never update once more, profit. For now expert luck, perchance attempt using your video carte du jour driver for audio.
